Austria
is a country rich in both human and natural sights. The province of Vorarlberg,
which neighbours Liechtenstein is no exception, with diverse areas including
the mountains and the Lakeland shores.
The mountains offer winter and summer attractions, with the Arlberg offering a high alpine experience, and the Bregenzerwald offering a glimpse of rural Austria in the alpine foothills. The Bregenzerwald lies just south of the city of Bregenz, located on the shores of Lake Constance. As a summer destination, Bregenz offers visitors beaches, boat cruises and a seaside atmosphere. In addition to this, there is also an annual festival - the Bregenzer festival - which makes use of the impressive stage in the lake.

The major towns in Vorarlberg are full of history and well worth a visit - try Bregenz, Dornbirn, Feldkirch and Bludenz, and explore around them - the towns and villages have much to offer.
