ThyssenKrupp Presta AG
ThyssenKrupp Presta AG is a systems supplier and partners the automotive industry. In Liechtenstein the company houses it's centre of excellence and know-how. The operations in Liechtenstein dictate the product development and product lines world-wide.
The company Press und Stanzwerk AG (known as PRESTA) was established in 1941. By 1967 the company started production of large pressed metal pieces for the automotive industry. Development and production started on the steering components group followed by the whole steering system in 1982.
Serial production of camshafts began in 1994. Steering and camshaft development and production help the company grow. During this time, the German company, Krupp bought the company, and in 1999 the companies of Thyssen and Krupp merged, forming the subsidiary ThyssenKrupp Presta AG still based in Eschen. In 2004 ThyssenKrupp bought the steering systems business from Mercedes Benz expanding the operations at ThyssenKrupp Presta AG.
