Liechtensteinische Landesbank (LLB)
One of Liechtenstein's oldest banks, established in 1861, the Landesbank (national bank) has branches throughout the country and caters for businesses and locals alike.
The LLB are active as a domestic bank with local branches and lead the local market in mortgage lending and savings accounts, but also offer foreign clients a range of financial services. With assets of 32.5 billion Swiss Francs, they are one of the leading asset management banks in the Swiss/Liechtenstein area.
The bank was founded by the then governor of Liechtenstein - Karl Haus von Hausen as the 'Zins- und Credit-Landes-Ansalt in the sovereign Principality of Liechtenstein'. The alignment with the Swiss banking rules in 1923 separated the LLB from government administration. In 1992, the bank floated on the Zurich stock exchange.
Like the LGT, the Liechtensteinische Landesbank are great sponsors of local sports and cultural activities.
