Genealogy in Liechtenstein
Liechtenstein genealogy is fairly simple to research as all the churches were and are the centres of their communities. Their records are very comprehensive, and many people are related to one another, so family trees have to some extent been written.
In Schaan, a local historian has produced a book of the traditional family trees from Schaan. It only follows the male lines, but this can help genealogist work through some family members. Other village historians are following suit, either as single name studies or village wide research.
